What’s on my needles – A sock project
December 26, 2008 by Tina
I can’t believe that Christmas has come and gone, and a brand new year is just around the corner. I have started a pair of socks for myself out of Schachenmayr Nomotta – Denim in a beige color. This yarn is 100% cotton and I’m using size 5 US double pointed needles and a basic sock patten with a knit 2 purl 2 rib for the cuff. Some day I’ll be brave enough to try knitting socks on circular needles, but for now, double pointed needles work just fine. I’m still learning to take photos of my socks and it’s still a work in progress, but here’s a couple of what I’m knitting.
I decided since I’m off today that I would try to get the second sock complete so that I can start wearing them this weekend. Next project is a pair of nice warm wool socks for my Dad. I have chosen Patons Kroy Socks in a light brown color. This will be a nice surprise for Dad. I’ll update with photos once I get started.
Happy knitting to all!
