What a fun day! My husband Don and I had a blast yesterday at the Southwest Fiber Festival. The sky was very blue, the temperature was perfect at 85 degrees and there was lots of fibery goodness in the air. While I was busy strolling from vendor to vendor, my hubby was kind enough to play photographer. He captured the essence of the festival very well and you can view complete photos on my Facebook Fan page, along with my first ever video, which was of the Danza Mexica Cuauhtemoc – dancers.
Here’s my new heart throb….. He was the cutest guy.
I didn’t get too crazy in buying yarn, but I did mange to buy 4 skeins that I can’t wait to wind and starting knitting with.
On the right: Pleasant Dreams, Flying Solo Single by Flutterby Fibers - Merino/Bamboo Mix. This yarn is super soft and has such a wonderful mix of colors.
On the left: Paca-Peds Superwash Alpaca sock yarn

Sounds like you had a blast! The yarns you bought are awesome!!!
SO jealous – great yarns!
Oh WOW! I feel so privileged to have been there with you yesterday! It was an awesome day and I'm over the moon about seeing my handspun on your blog and in your article on the Examiner! I'll be following you here! You have a lovely blog and I will have to read more of your posts (and listen to your yummy music selections too – ahhhh) : ) Thanks Tina! ~ Laura (FlutterbyFibers)
Hi Laura…. Thank you so much and it was tons of fun meeting you yesterday! My mother-n-law loves your yarn and told me see wished she knitted. My mom told me I better hide it when she comes to visit.
Beautiful yarns! The bamboo one in particular. The picture of the alpaca is so cute. My husband and I would love to raise them. Maybe someday! I know you were like a kid in a candy store! Sue (My Attic's Treasures)
Hi, it was so nice to meet you in person yesterday! I also got a skein of Laura's handspun, gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing yours!
