Fiber Friday Spotlight: Springtree Road

Maya, owner and purveyor of Springtree Road , liked the  idea of taking something so simple as wool and turning it into a beautiful  handspun skein of yarn.  So she bought a second-hand wheel,  3lbs. of wool and set out to learn the mysteries of handspinning.

Maya’s variety of warm earthy colors are sure to inspire you and right now you will find a gorgeous selection of handspun in 100% BFL (Blue Face Leicester), a scrumptious soft wool perfect for hats, mittens and scarves.  Maya also carries a variety of thick and thinsingle ply and 2-ply hand-spun in her Etsy shop and on her online web shop.  You will not only find BFL in her shop, but spun Merino, Merino with Romney, Falkland and Punta.

You can follow Maya on line at Springtree Road, on Facebook, on Twitter and on Ravelry.  To stay informed of all her latest yarnie goodness, be sure to sign up for her newsletter.
