I’ve been so excited and yet so very amazed at how many knitters have contacted me regarding my Painted Cables Scarf that was included in the 2011 Knitting a Pattern a Day Calendar. These knitters have asked me one simple question that I have been rather embarrassed about the fact I don’t know. So what’s a designer to do? Answer the question of course …..
The question: “What is the color of the Noro Silk Garden Lite you used for this pattern?
The answer: ” I actually purchased the Noro Silk Garden Lite a year or so before I designed my scarf and I’m not sure if that particular color is still available but I used #27 (#2027) in the Silk Garden Lite from Spring 2005. Please note that the Silk Garden Lite is now discontinued but I think the scarf would look just as great in Silk Garden as the only tiny difference is a worsted weight versus a DK weight.”
