Wednesday’s Pattern: Buttercup

Today’s featured pattern is  Buttercup, a raglan sleeve pullover by Heidi Kirrmaier of PipiBird.

This top down A-Line design features a scoop neckline, a simple feather and fan stitch for a bit of lace and slightly puffed sleeves.   This very simple, streamlined “tee” is truly perfect for summer and seems to be a hit on Ravelry with over 1200 completed projects and in 5,000 queues!

Heidi provides very detailed step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow along with sizes ranging from  XS to XXL.  I was very happy to see that the finished tee will fit bust sizes from 30″ to 50″.   This project requires approximately 918 – 1224 yards of Elsebeth Lavold’s Hempathy, or any DK weight yarn to match the gauge of 22 stitches and 30 rows to equal 4 inches in stockinette, a US size #3 and US size #4 circular needles along with stitch markers.

Yarn Suggestions for other light weight summer yarns:  Knit Picks Cotlin, Rowan Lenpur Linen, Hemp for Knitting, Classic Elite Soft Linen and Sublime Soya Cotton.
