A new friend and yummy fiber!

A couple of weeks ago I added a new friend to my knitting studio,  Mrs. Trumbell, a delightful Boyd’s Bear.  I love this little bear, especially her knitted cardigan.  I decided that she would be a perfect addition to my basket of fingering weight yarn that sits on my desk, and indeed she is!

I also received my shipment of fiber from Maya of Springtree Road.  I really have been slacking on my spinning but my fiber pal Simone of  Sand and Sky Creations continually inspires me with her lovely handspun.  So, this new batch of fiber that is oozing spring colors is just the trick to get me back into the spinning mode!

Colorway:  Azalea

Fiber:            75% Blue Face Leicester and 25% Tussah Silk

I hope that you are having a wonderful day.  Until next time, happy knitting, crocheting, spinning and crafting!

About Tina

I admit that I am a yarnaholic, fiberholic kind of gal who loves knitting, spinning and crafting in general! When I’m not knitting, I’m enjoying my time with my wonderful husband and our spunky little dog Sparkles. I love learning new things, meeting people who share my joy and passion for the fiber arts, and sharing with others. For me, blogging has given me the opportunity to nit only share my adventures, but my ups and downs, my projects, my goals and so much more.

Your new fibers are yummy and would inspire even me, who has not yet made the leap to spinning. And it’s always nice to have some company while you’re working. My current favorite is a pair of sweetheart trolls that were a Christmas surprise from my husband. We found them in a off-the-beaten-path shop called 5 Arts Studio in the Arts and Crafts Community in Cosby, TN and I fell in love with the silly looking things. I was beyond surprised when they showed up under the tree that year and they have become my constant companions. You can see my Sweethearts in my avatar.

Your bear is precious, perhaps designing a few sweaters for Boyd’s bears might be an idea? And I just drool over Springtree Road yarn, you lucky girl – enjoy! :)

Gorgeous fibre. I can’t wait to see what you spin.
