WIP for Saturday and a new toy!

I think I have finally gotten the hang of knitting a toe up sock and working short rows with wraps.  Doing the test knit for Ann has been a very good learning experience for me and I thought I would share a couple of photos of my progress.  I sweet talked my photographer into helping me out (a.k.a. Don, my husband).

For those of you who have a hard time with short row heels or just knitting the wraps together, I highly suggest Laura Chau’s blog post,  a short-row heel tutorial. Seeing the photos really helped me on my journey of working this type of heel.

The toe ~ I’m so tickled how this looks!

My heel turned out perfect ~ well in my book it did :)

This past week I also got in my Schacht 15″ Cricket loom!  I’ve been wanted to learn to weave for a very long time and I think this will complete my collection quite nicely.  I also signed up for the Rigid Heddle Weaving with Angela Tong online at Craftsy.  I can’t wait to start this new adventure!

Schacht 15″ Cricket Loom – New for this year !

One reason I purchased this particular loom.

Until next time, happy knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving and crafting!
