Thank you Meghan, she's truly doing much better :) I love Victoria and I also receive Midwest Living, which had pumpkins on the front. I'm looking forward to winter here in AZ but I understand about you not looking forward to it in PA, it does get mighty cold. Have a lovely evening and a great weekend of crocheting :)

I'm glad your Mom is recovering so well. It's good to find some peace in prayer. Somtimes you have to take life one hour at a time. My Victoria Magazine came the other day. It's a real favorite of mine. My husband said good news and bad news, your magazine is here but there's pumpkins on the cover. While we get a beautiful color change in Northeast PA we don't always look forward to winter. Of course we all complained bitterly through July when it was 90+. Most of us don't have central air. Guess we're getting crotchety.

Yes indeed :) You are so welcome and I hope that you enjoy the patterns - the fall issues are packed with lots of goodies this year! You've been busy with projects, good for you :) I've heard of George R R Martin's series - haven't read the books but have been watching the series on TV. It's really good.

Amen to the power of prayer. I hope your family health issues can be resolved, as in all getting better or learning to cope with the changes. Thank you for pointing out the sweaters in the mags above; I hadn't looked at these yet, and now may have to buy these issues. I just finished the Every Way Wrap from IK, two dishcloths in seed & moss stitch combos, and started on the Morning Surf scarf for a friend. Have you read George R.R. Martin's A Song of Fire & Ice (A Game of Thrones is the first part of this series!)? It's a ripping good story told very well!

Thank you so much Elizabeth and thank you too for your prayers :) I can't wait to see your Color Affection and your cowl sounds heavenly being knitted in Manos Silk. Lots of fun reading too. I've not gotten into the vampire thing, maybe someday.

So sorry to hear about your mom, although I'm glad to hear she is doing better. My FIL has had 1 major stroke and 2 mini ones so I know how nerve-wracking it can be. Prayer is a definite help, I'll add your mom to mine. :)

Reading: Shadow of Night (#2 in the All Souls Trilogy). I'm loving the series...it's got witches, vampires, demons and time-traveling (to Elizabethan London) plus an intriguing plot-line.

Knitting: Just finished a Color Affection, need to block it. Now working on a little cowl with some Manos Silk Blend - yummy! :) Next on my list is the Zilver.

Your sweater is coming along fabulously! So beautiful!
