Aidez update and a bit more!

I’m still working away on my Aidez and have started the front left panel.  The stitch pattern is so easy to memorize that it makes it fast to knit, which I really like.  I didn’t get to work too much on this project over the weekend due to a road trip and spinning, but I have hopes that I will get this panel done by the end of the week.

Be sure to take a peak at the finished Aidez cardigans over on Kelly’s blog.  There are some beautiful ones!

Do you love a good mysteryDo you love knitting hats?  If you said yes to both, then join in the fun for the 5th annual Woolly Wormhead mystery hat KAL on Ravelry.

I’ve picked out my yarn and I’m excited to be able to finally use my stash of the LB Collection Baby Alpaca.  I love Woolly’s designs and  think this will be quite fun!

There’s still time to sign up and the KAL discussion will take place in the Wormheads Hats group, where everyone is getting ready to cast on November 1st!

As you may remember in a post a few weeks back, I took the plunge and  signed up or Carol Feller’s new KAL, featuring her latest and loveliest creation, the  Woodburne Cardigan.

I have yet to even cast on for this project and I think this will have to be knitted at a later date as it’s getting closer to December and I have cardigan to knit as a gift.  There’s just not enough time for knitting these days!

My spinning has been going along nicely and I finished my first 3-ply skein of the Cupcake fiber in the blend of BFL an Nylon.  I didn’t get the yardage I hoped for but that’s ok as I have another 3 oz to spin and have fingers crossed that I get make my yardage goal.

This handspun is destined for the Camden Cap by Woolly Wormhead and I will have enough yarn to knit it after I finish my second batch of spinning!

123 yards of 3-ply

So, what have you been working on ?

Until next time, happy knitting, spinning and crafting!

Hey girl! What kind of ribbing is that on your Aidez? It looks “neat”. If you need someone to send it to who lives in a very cold climate, I can send you her addy real quick! :) And your 3-ply is beautiful; I can’t wait to see your hat! I’m looking forward to making a hat or two myself. ~xoxo
