2012 in review

Thank you all for a wonderful year and I have to share a bit of statistical fun!

Crunchy numbers

About 55,000 tourists visit Liechtenstein every year. My blog was viewed about 170,000 times in 2012. If it were Liechtenstein, it would take about 3 years for that many people to see it.  My  blog had more visits than a small country in Europe!

In 2012, there were 163 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 736 posts. There were 253 pictures uploaded, taking up a total of 428 MB. That’s about 5 pictures per week.

The busiest day of the year was April 17th with 1,355 views. The most popular post that day was Anna, a devine lace shawl!.

Attractions in 2012

These are the posts that got the most views in 2012. My free patterns got quite a few hits, but so did these pages:

How did they find you? The top referring sites in 2012 were:

Some visitors came searching, mostly for peacefully knitting, ravelympics 2012, thanksgiving, thanksgiving pictures, and knitted toys.

Where did they come from?
world
That’s 163 countries in all! Most visitors came from The United States, but  Canada and the United Kingdom were not far behind.

Thank you again for a fantastic year!

  8. I’ve only been reading your blog for a couple of months, so I missed the post about the Anna Shawl (Franklin Habit! living proof that good things come in small packages…). I bought the pattern, and have some yarns that would likely work well for it, just haven’t got to it yet! Maybe for spring…
