Casting On and Casting Off: A Sock KAL Update and a New Project!

I have finished clue 2 for the first sock of Kirsten Kapur’s TTL Mystery Sock 2013 and have started working on the mate, which should be done this weekend.

I love the stitch pattern and I’m quite pleased with the color I decided to use from my stash as it really shows off the design.   The next clue will be the heel, which should go fairly quickly.

I have to admit that I truly can’t wait to finish this pair of socks so I can wear them!

This weekend I’m  casting on a super quick knit by Tempe Croke.  I plan to knit a pair of Bulky Fingerless Gloves on 2 Straight Needles using my stash of handspun .  This project requires only 75 yards of bulky weight yarn and a pair of size US 9 (5.5 mm) knitting needles.  I plan to use my stash of Chocolate Separates , which is 100% Corridale that I purchased from Woolen Mill St Yarns and spun up about two years ago.

I think this will be a great project and I look forward to a pair of warm fingerless mitts!

What’s on your needles this weekend?

Until next time, happy knitting, crocheting, spinning and crafting!
