So I finished my Top Down Swing Pullover today, photos to come soon, and casted on the Bulky Fingerless Gloves on 2 Straight Needles designed by Tempe Croke. Talk about a super fast project, I knocked these mitts out in an hour and a half, which to me is super quick. This pattern is perfect for beginner knittesr and advanced knitters looking for a quick stash busting project.
I used about 60 yards of my Chocolate Separates and a pair of US 9 (5.5 mm) knitting needles. I’m happy to have a warm pair of fingerless mitts to wear while driving to work in the morning and may even wear them at the office. Hats off to Tempe for a fun and quick knit !

I’m thinking I might have just enough of my Chocolate Separates left to knit the Petals Scarf byJennifer Fleury. I think this will be another quick knit project too!

Until next time, happy knitting, crocheting, spinning and crafting!

Good God, woman, take a break. You make the rest of us look bad.
LOL, I will take that under advisement … well, actually after my socks are done I plan to take a break
I’ve been wanting to make a pair of fingerless mitts for me. Really like these.
They are quick and super easy Veronica
Oh, you speedy knitter! They look mighty cozy and warm.
I’m not fast at all. I guess it takes me many (many) months to complete a sweater/top so I like to keep an eye out for quick, simple projects like this to take a break from larger projects.
They are warm Liesl and sometimes you do need a simple knit to break up the other projects
Love the way the mitts turned out. I’ve faved them and will be trying a pair. I gave away my straights, so I’ll do them in the round.
The Petals scarf looks exactly like one I made called garter stitch scarf (see my project page). The pattern came out of the “One Skein Book”. I like the idea real well, but wasn’t happy with my yarn.
The mitts were fun Darlene and could easily b don in the round. The Petals scarf does look like the on you made – I think there air several versions of this design.
Oohhhh those are lovely and very speedy indeed!
Wow, that is a super fast knit!
Wow, that was super-fast! But they do look very nice, and very warm. Good luck with the scarf too. That too is a really cute pattern.
Thank you Sandie and I can say, they ar warm – wore them this morning
Q – Great job! Need those over here.
The scarf is one Curls told me to knit using one of my small yardage handspuns. Is cute!
Thank you so much and I bet – you’re as cold as us !
Q – It’s been in the 30′s in the am. What the heck??? A whole week of this? Never!
We’ve been in the high 20′s to low 30′s in the am. Burrrrrr
