I finished my small crewel work project today and I’m very happy that I had a frame in the house for it. I really like how it turned out and have placed it next to our bed for display.

I have planned to start another crewel project, a vintage Elsa Williams crewel embroidery piece that I purchased off of eBay. I was very excited that this kit was never opened, that the printed linen fabric is in excellent shape, as well as the wool embroidery floss. This is a small project that will measure 6″ x 7″ when completed and I think it too will look nice next to our bed.

In case you are wondering why so much in embroidery, well, I’m giving my two elbows a break from knitting and spinning over the next few weeks due to a case of bad tennis elbow. I promise though to post a few goodies that involve knitting, just not my current projects.
Until next time, happy knitting, crocheting, spinning and crafting!

Gee, everyone needs a break once in a while. At least your are keeping busy. The pansy came out very nicely, and I love that frame. It seems meant for that purpose.
Thank you Sandie
I’m quite pleased with the way it turned out and agree, the frame was meant for it.
Wow! What a happy little pansy blossom! Your needlepoint is beautiful!
Ahhh… thank you Simone
It looks great – I think I need to pull out some needlework! Great inspiration!
Thank you Tracy!
How beautiful! I keep being tempted by all of the lovely Crewel books about lately.
Embroidery is a great idea for staying creative whilst giving the elbows a rest, too. It’s wrists for me.
Thank you Hannah and it is a good trade off to rest the elbows, and the wrists
