I have not touched my knitting this week but I have managed to finish my crocheted scarf that I was working on. I have found that crochet does not aggravate my right elbow as much as knitting and I think it must be due to the pressure I put on the needles when I hold them. Anyway, I’m excited about my scarf and wanted to share!
As mentioned earlier, I did this project to use up my leftover skein of MadelineTosh 80/10/10 (merino, cashmere, nylon) Sport weight yarn in the color Badlands.
The Yarn: The original skein of MadelineTosh was 250 yards and I ended up with 195 yards after finishing off my Vodka Lemonade. I edged the scarf in Rowan Kidsilk Haze in color #652 Mud and used approximately a quarter of the skein or about 50 yards.
The Hooks: I used a size US I (5.5mm) for the scarf and a size US G (4 mm) for the edging.
The Design: The stitch pattern is a simple lace pattern that consist of double crochets and is edged in a single crochet with a double shell stitch at the ends. I’m thinking about creating a pattern but haven’t decided yet.
The Finished Size: 5″ x 54″
I love how this turned out and look forward to wearing it soon!
Oh another note, I have re-opened my Ravelry Store and I am celebrating with 50% off all my patterns now until midnight, Sunday September 15th.
