I purchased two skeins of Patons DK Superwash Wool several months ago not knowing exactly what I would do with the skeins but I had to buy them just to try. I’m very excited about this new line of Patons wool as it is a superwash merino wool in skeins of 125 yards/114m (50g) and a wide range of colors.
The perfect weight for detail and stitch definition. The warmth of wool, now machine washable and dryable! A shade range created for ideal for fair isle knitting. (Patons Yarns)
Today I found a great pattern designed by Renee Leverington, a.k.a. Goddess Knits, called Arrowhead Socks. This quick knit sock pattern calls for 246 yards (225 m) of DK weight yarn and a set of size US 3 (3.25mm) double-pointed needles. Perfect for my two skeins of yarn totally 250 yards!
I love this pattern for the simplicity and extra touch of lace down the front. Needless to say, I casted on today using two 16″ circular needles ( I no longer use DPNs for socks) and think this pair of socks will go quickly.
Have you tried the new Paton’s DK yarn yet?
