Wednesday’s WIPS

I haven’t been knitting as much as I’ve wanted to over the last week but that’s ok, I’ve wipstill made progress. So far I have finished one Los Monos Locos/The Crazy Monkeys sock and have casted on the mate .  This really is a fun project with a stitch pattern that is super easy to memorize.

I have to say that I’m quite thrilled that my stripes are lining up and since this photo, I’ve made additional progress.  I’m hoping to have this pair officially done by this time next week.

I have casted on a new sock project called Feather the Waves Socks by Knitting Pixie.  For this sock project I’m using my stash of Black Trillium Lilt sock yarn in the color Mist, which reminds me a bit of faded denim.  I love the pattern and have made great progress last night and will update with a new photo soon!

Still on the needles:

  • My Shallows scarf – this is a carry along project, so it has been slightly neglected
  • My Misty Pearl Vest – I’m planning to take this with me for “car knitting” this coming weekend.

I have also added three new books to my knitting library this week – Ne’er-Do-Well Knits by Hunter Hammersen , Indie Socks by Chrissy Gardiner  and Socks – Socks – Socks: 70 Winning Patterns from Knitter’s Magazine Contest

What’s on your needles this week?

This has been a SIPS post :) so many beautiful socks!
I have far less active WIPS – a shawl and a top I’ve just started (and already unraveling back to restart!)

I never thought about SIPs, love it! Thank you so much and I truly live your shawl, can’t wait to see it finished. Oh no, not good to rip back but hope round two works out better for you :)

18 pairs of socks knitted since January, 9 of which were custom orders and the other 9 are listed on my website and etsy. I only just started on a new pair this morning. I’m definitely a sockaholic! LOL

Well, now I need to get some socks on the needles! I’ve been all about knitting presents lately, but I may need a break to spoil myself with something pretty :P

Yes you must take a break and spoil yourself, and nothing is better than knitting a pretty pair of socks 😊

Love all the blues, Tina. I have two pair of socks on the needles waiting for me to finish up a cardi and shawl.

I do too Janet, especially the Mist ☺️. You have such great projects going and I can’t wait to see them all finished!

Love seeing your Crazy Monkey socks coming along — going to have to make a pair myself. And the name of the Hunter Hammersen book, which I haven’t seen before, is fantastic!

Your Crazy Monkeys are absolutely fantastic! I love all the bright and wonderful colors.

The books you picked up look really great as well. The socks pictured on the cover of Ne’er-Do-Well Knits look like a ton of fun :-)
