Hurray for Spinning!

TGIFI’m so happy today is Friday, how about you?   I started a new schedule a few weeks ago that allows me to get off at 11:00 am every Friday.  I’m so happy that I will now have more time to do a few things that I love and enjoy, like spinning!

This week I finished up plying my 2 oz of   Capistrano Fiber Arts  (80% superfine merino wool and 20%tussash silk) with my single of BFL and Tussah Silk from Beesy Bee that I’ve had in my stash for a long while.  Now a few of you may remember I had plans for my BFL/Silk blend back in March,   but as I progressed in knitting I found that I really should have plied this lovely yarn and not kept it as a single.

Here’s the end result of the two plied together  …. a scrumptious blend and a great color combination coming in at 230 yards!

I’m not sure what I will spin next but I’m leaning towards my newly acquired October House. This is a scrumptious blend of 60% Merino, 30% Bamboo and 10% Nylon. I love the colors too, very fall!

Happy Friday!

Thank you so much Liz and I’m quite pleased with my yardage :) I can’t wait to spin my October House – the colors are wonderful!

Your latest skein of homespun look great! Looking forward to seeing it knitted or crocheted into something. And I agree with you, the October House fiber looks luscious! Have fun!
