Lime Twist ~ Original Design by Tina Sanders
Updated: 09/2010
This pattern was inspired by the lovely hand dyed yarn that I recently purchased from Dreamscape Threads, the Great Masters Collection. The colorway of this yarn was inspired by the painting “Summer Afternoon on the Lake” by Jean Leon Gerome. The mixture of soft greens with just a hint of pale yellow made me think of limes, hence the name “Lime Twist”. This particular yarn is a lovely mix of 70% Merino Wool, 20% Alpaca and 10% Silk and is a DK Weight. This pattern is unique, as you will work it on the wrong side to create the lovely cable brim and the stockinette body of the hat.

Morning Dewdrop ~ Original Design by Tina Sanders
This is an original design created using Rowan Little Big Wool. This hat is very warm, soft and just right to wear for fall or winter weather. Does not fit tight against your head, but is snug. The cable pattern used reminded me of “morning dew” on grass. Requires approximately 2 skeins of Rowan Little Big Wool, size US 9 16” circular needle, US 9 DPNS and 1 tapestry needle. Please note: The gauge listed is correct with the size needles being used.

Cabled Neck Warmer ~ Original Design by Tina Sanders
This pattern is created using a braided cable. Perfect in a solid or in two colors as shown.

Thanks so much for the free pattern for the neck warmer. I can’t wait to try it!
Hi Cindy.. you’re so welcome and I hope that you enjoy trying it out.
Just wanted to say how much I like your hat patterns. Just made your rolled brim cable crossed hat, and plan to make your morning dewdrop. Thanks for such lovely and practical designs for our cold weather here!
Hi Ann…. I’m so happy that you like my hat patterns. That means the world to me. Thank you so much and happy knitting!!! P.S. Stay warm
I just wandered over to your site from KnitNet. Great patterns, lovely garden – mine is still snowbound.
The pattern I don’t see either as a freebie or for sale is the for the shawl or coverlet pictured at the top of the freebie patterns I downloaded. It appears to be based on a seven-pointed star. I could probably figure it out, or something close enough to pass, but I’m notoriously lazy when it comes to math, even knitting math. Could you tell me where that pattern might be found? I love knitting big, circular things.
Thank you.
